December 18, 2020...Ultimate Radio continue to expand its  reach, this during the launch of 95.3 FM at Liphakoe Stadium, Quthing today.

The launch comes two months after the station whose target audience is youth  launched a similar initiative in Thaba - Tseka under 106.6 FM.

Today's event which commenced with a fun walk from Lower Moyeni to the Stadium is regarded  christmas gift coming early for Quthing community.

Ministry of Communitions, Science and Technology (MCST) top management to operatives including youth from different walks in Quthing were all there in support of the noble gesture.

In an interview at the event, MCST Principal Secretary, Advocate Bereng Makotoko commends Ultimate for expanding its services to the nation, saying such is a great step towards attaining goals set under the Ministry's Strategic Plan 2020/21 - 2022 - 23.

Additional, he mentions that this is also part of Government programme meant to ensure FM expansion in the country.

"As the Ministry in charge of Communitions, we owe it to the nation to access accurate news and information dissemination on time," he adds.

Advocate Makotoko appeals to all particularly  the business sector to market their products and services through the station, while youth will now get an apportunity to access the station tailor made for them.

Sharing her sentiments on behalf of LNBS, Ms. Mothepane Kotele said the reason they are now launching in Quthing is because they have already covered a wider range. "The intention is to cover all districts in a short space of time" she said.

On behalf of Quthing Community, Mrs. 'Makamohelo Jankie expresses gratitude for the expansion, saying she is hopeful that the already existing products and services of youth in this district  will get  wider publicity.

"We also urge Government to support youth initiatives in Quthing particularly agriculture in an attempt to alleviate poverty and hunger," she said.

The event also  saw the presence  MCST Deputy Principal Secretary,  Mrs. Manaleli Phafoli, DA, Mr. Motete Mokonyana with  local Artists having entertained the crowd with  music.
