At the opening ceremony for Cyber Security Response Team (CERT) session, December 02 - 04 2019, during the 23rd Information, Communications Technology (ICT) Exhibition in Cairo, Egypt, December 01 - 04 2019, Minister of Communications, Science & Technology (MCST) - Lesotho, Chief Thesele ?Maseribane as one of the guests of honour and his counterpart from the host country, Dr. Amr Tallat were in attendance, among others.


The Egypt CERT deliberated their journey towards achievement of the EG-CERT, which started in 2009. They discussed also their experiences and a road-map towards a successful establishment of CERT technology that continues to change lives and the way of doing things across all industries and presents more opportunities to nations. It is associated also with a high risk that is being experienced in cyberspace. It is therefore, a legitimate obligation of every country to take necessary measures to cease cyber-crime.


The two ministers continued their bilateral discussion regarding the interoperability between their countries. In their first meeting in Sharm El Sheik this October - 2019, they showed the importance of having a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), which incorporates sectors of ICT on Capacity Building, Investment Attraction Mechanisms, Job creation and Smart Cities, amongst others.


THE MoU will be signed by the two ministers after having clearance.
