Her education background is a mix of humanities, media studies and gender studies. For her first degree, she studied English Language and Literature at the National University of Lesotho. Then she enrolled with the University of Natal in Durban (Now the University of KwaZulu-Natal) in 2000 for Honors and master’s degree in Cultural and Media Studies. The course taught different aspects of communications including journalism, socio-economy of media, development communications, videography and graphic design. Her academic research was on gender and media, investigating the representation of men and women on television news in South Africa.
Her passion for advocacy in gender equality was further advanced by her undertaking of a Postgraduate Diploma in Gender Studies at the University of Free State in 2010.
Hon. Nthati Moorosi is a passionate, self-driven Communications Specialist. She has a vast experience of over 15 years in development and corporate communications, public outreach, public relations, marketing, editing, events management, training, and lecturing. Throughout the 15 years that she worked in the communications field, she has demonstrated a remarkable ability to adapt and apply her knowledge and skills to any field of development and business management.
