April 27, 2022…The Minister of Communications, Science and Technology on Wednesday apologised ‘unreservedly’ to National Assembly members after Lesotho Television failed to broadcast live Parliamentary business on Monday.


In his statement, Honourable Tsóinyana Rapapa indicated that engineers of the Lesotho National Broadcasting Service (LNBS) have reported technological challenge pertaining to Microwave Link, whose job is to ease connectivity between Parliament and studios for a live broadcast.


 He assured Parliamentarians that starting today (Wednesday), his team of engineers have resolved the matter, adding the situation is back to normal.


“On behalf of my team, I apologise wholeheartedly and for the challenge encountered and promise to deliver effectively and efficiently going forward.”


The Ministry of Communications has an obligation and a mission to provide reliable communication services amongst other things. Through research and coordination of innovation, the Ministry also seeks to accelerate Lesotho’s economic growth.
