Nov 12, 2021...The Minister of Communications, Science and Technology (MCST), Honourable Ts’oinyana Rapapa officiating at the two day  access to information workshop for Political Party Leaders.

The objective of this workshop is to raise awareness on the need for access to information by the media for promoting transparency, accountability and public participation ahead of 2022 general polls.

In his officiating remarks, Honourable Rapapa highlights the importance of information sharing, transparency and accountability to citizens.

He urges participants to ensure use of modern technologies in a bid to share their political parties policies ahead of 2022, seeing that elections come at the time when  the world is also reaping unbearable results brought by Covid-19.

Furthermore, the Minister notes that information sharing is not the responsibility of MCST alone as well as the media but the responsibility of all so as to achieve smooth communication.

This workshop is organised and funded by US embassy Maseru together with MISA Lesotho. Different Political Party Leaders showed up at the workshop.
